LVO Architecture

High Street, Toowong

With increased enthusiasm in the Australian property market, and interest rates at record lows, a number of large developments around the Brisbane CBD have been gearing up for an anticipated housing demand to come in the next few years. One development that is sure to turn heads and that has already received a lot of attention amongst both local and international investors and property owners is 38 High Street, Toowong designed by LVO.

Located 4km from the City in a commercial precinct, this development offers resort style living in the heart of Toowong with buses and trains at the doorstep.

A mixed-use project, it includes a careful balance of high end retail spaces, a restaurant/bar and café, a hotel, and a mixture of one and two bedroom apartments. Also provided is an open space recreational area where tenants can enjoy resort style living with access to a gym, swimming pool, BBQ terrace and function room/lounge, all elevated from the street on level 2.

Spread over 12 stories, most of which have uninterrupted city and river or hinterland views, the residential units, with their full height glass walls, have been designed and positioned to optimise outlook and allow for maximum daylight whilst still maintaining privacy.

From its inception, the brief from the client Serra Property Group Pty Ltd was to produce a sleek, sharp building that would compete at the top end of the property market by providing residents and customers with a quality of finish unseen in the area today.

After a decade long process and a number of alternative designs varying in size and height from negotiations surrounding the local district draft plan, LVO is proud to announce that a code assessable Development Approval has been achieved for the site.
